OnePlus 15s Leak: Monster Battery, Flagship Chip And Compact Design – Is This Your Next Phone?

OnePlus has just launched the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Pad Go 2 in India, but the brand is already back in the headlines with leaks about another phone in the OnePlus 15 series. The new model, likely called the OnePlus 15s, is now expected to arrive in India soon.

OnePlus 15s has reportedly received Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification with the model number CPH2793. This certification usually means the launch is not far away and hints that the phone could arrive in India as early as January.

Interestingly, OnePlus followed a similar approach with the OnePlus 13s, which launched in China as the OnePlus 13T in April, and then made its way to global and Indian markets in June. That phone was positioned as a compact flagship and went up against rivals like the Vivo X200 FE in the same segment.

The latest leak suggests OnePlus could repeat this playbook by launching the new compact flagship first in China and then bringing it to India later. The company has also officially confirmed that it is working on a new Turbo series in China, which is expected to focus on gamers and may also come to India in the near future.

According to the leaked BIS listing, the OnePlus 15s could feature a 6.31-inch BOE X3 OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a super-smooth 165Hz refresh rate. This is in line with what the company offers on the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus 15, keeping the visual experience in the same premium zone.

Under the hood, the phone is rumoured to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, the same top-tier chip used in the OnePlus 15. Powering all this hardware could be a massive 7,500mAh battery, which would make it the biggest battery ever seen on a OnePlus phone. The device is also expected to support 100W wired fast charging, although, like its predecessor, it may skip wireless charging.

In terms of cameras, the OnePlus 15s is said to come with a 50MP Sony IMX906 primary sensor, the same one used on the OnePlus 15 and 15R. This could be paired with a 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto lens for zoom shots. However, just like its predecessor, the phone may once again skip an ultra-wide angle lens.

The OnePlus 15s is also tipped to include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor for faster and more accurate unlocking. It is expected to come with IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, along with a metal frame and an estimated thickness of around 8.5mm, giving it a premium yet compact feel.

On the software side, the upcoming phone is likely to run OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. It is also expected to pack in all the latest AI features, including Plus Mind integration with Google’s Gemini, promising a more intelligent and personalised user experience.

For context, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 13s in India at ₹54,999 for the base variant and ₹59,999 for the top-end variant. With ongoing memory chip shortages affecting the tech industry globally, the OnePlus 15s may arrive with a higher price tag when it finally launches in India.
