Kia has taken a major step in expanding its performance-oriented electric vehicle portfolio with the global unveiling of the EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT at the Brussels Motor Show 2026. These new GT variants bring enhanced performance, sharper dynamics and sportier styling to Kia’s compact and mid-size electric lineup, reinforcing the brand’s focus on blending everyday usability with driving excitement.
Overview
The GT versions of the EV3, EV4 and EV5 extend Kia’s GT philosophy—previously seen on models like the EV6 GT—into more accessible segments. While the standard versions of these EVs focus on efficiency and comfort, the GT models add all-wheel drive, higher power outputs and chassis upgrades aimed at enthusiasts.
According to Kia, the goal with these GT models is not just outright speed, but a more emotionally engaging driving experience without compromising daily practicality.
Technical Details
Powertrain & Performance
Both the EV3 GT and EV4 GT are powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup producing around 215 kW (approximately 292 PS). This enables a 0–100 km/h sprint in about 5.7 seconds, a significant improvement over their front-wheel-drive counterparts.
The larger EV5 GT receives a slightly more powerful dual-motor configuration delivering approximately 225 kW (306 PS). Despite its bigger footprint, it accelerates from 0–100 km/h in around 6.2 seconds.
All three GT models are equipped with an 81.4 kWh battery pack, supporting fast charging that can replenish the battery from 10 to 80 percent in roughly 30 minutes under ideal conditions.
GT Drive Mode & Chassis Upgrades
A highlight of the GT lineup is the dedicated GT drive mode, which sharpens throttle response, steering weight and suspension behavior. Kia has also introduced electronically controlled suspension, torque vectoring and GT-specific tuning for improved handling and stability at higher speeds.
To enhance driver engagement, Kia has added Virtual Gear Shift and Active Sound Design, creating a more immersive and sporty driving feel despite the electric powertrain.
Design & Features
Visually, the GT variants stand apart with more aggressive bumpers, exclusive GT badging and large 20-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin receives sport seats, GT-specific steering wheels, unique digital graphics and performance-focused displays.
Compared to the standard EV3, EV4 and EV5, the GT models offer a more driver-centric interior layout while retaining Kia’s signature focus on technology and comfort.

Production & Launch
Kia has confirmed that production of the EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT will begin in the second half of 2026, with global market launches to follow shortly after. Pricing and region-specific availability are expected to be announced closer to launch.
With the introduction of these GT variants, Kia is clearly positioning itself as a brand that can deliver both efficient electric mobility and genuine performance appeal, making its EV lineup more diverse and exciting than ever.
